Theater Commanders: The Second World War produced an outstanding array of commanders, but none two brighter examples of bravery and military excellence than General Dwight Eisenhower and General Douglas MacArthur. From the great battlefields of Europe to the smallest Pacific island, their combined genius helped steer our nation through one of it's greatest challenges. (60 minutes)

Field Commanders:
General Omar Bradley and General George Patton were two of the finest leaders to rise to top command during WWII. From the deserts of North Africa, to the dense forests of Europe their courage and decisiveness helped see America through some of its darkest days. (60 minutes)

Disc 2

Pentagon Commanders:
Back on the home front two of history's greatest military minds, General George Marshall and General Henry Hap Arnold boldly planned for victory on both land and sea. (60 minutes)

8th Airforce Commanders:
On land and air no commanders were more highly regarded than General Jimmy Doolittle and General Joseph Stillwell. Doolittle's gallant air raid proved Japan was not untouchable, while Stillwell's miraculous construction of over 1,000 miles of road through India and Burma showed that nothing could stop the determined Allied forces. (60 minutes).

Disc 3
Battle on Two Continents: In October 1942 a decisive victory by Britain's General Bernard Montgomery sends General Erwin Rommel and the Afrika Korps into a 1,750 mile retreat setting the stage for an Allied invasion of North Africa and Italy. (60 minutes).

Central Pacific & Marine Commanders: Among the most highly regarded commanders during the Second World War no military careers shine more brightly than those of Admiral Chester Nimitz and Marine Generals Alexander Vandergraft,  Clifton Gates and Holland Amith.  From Midway to Iwo Jima you will witness as these savvy warriors combine their genius to defeat Imperial Japan. (60 minutes).

Disc 4

Victory at Last:
General Douglas MacArthur's bold pledge, "I shall return" was fulfilled in October 1944 when American forces landed on the shores of Leyte in the Philippines.  Then it's on to Okinawa against the suicidal fury of kamikazes for the last great battle of the Pacific Campaign. (60 minutes).
